Feeding homemade, raw, fresh, and other detailed meals for your pet is what we do and we welcome owners to bring any kind of food they want for their pet.
Does your dog need warm broth added to their kibble, alternating canned food flavors, or shredded chicken added to breakfast? At Z Pet Hotels, feeding your custom meal plan is no problem. As long as you bring your pets own food labeled for meals morning and night, we will feed your baby as close to how you do at home as possible.
A familiar meal goes a long way in helping your pet settle in, so we welcome pet owners to bring their own mixers, treats, and toppings for breakfast and dinner. We'll discuss your pets meals when you check-in, but we still recommend including your own written instructions for portions and toppings, such as:
Luna – AM – 1 cup
Luna – PM – 1 cup
Taco – AM – 1 meal (defrosted)
Taco – PM – 1 meal (defrosted)
If supplements are included, add instructions for those separately such as:
Add 1 tsp pumpkin
Add 1 joint chew
Same for treats:
2 chicken roll chews per day max
These instructions help us coordinate with staff and ensure no mistakes are made in our digital system. When in doubt, we will always call you to double check feeding instructions!

We have chest freezers and multiple refrigerators on site for pet food storage. Depending on overall facility capacity, we can store 30+ days of your raw or fresh food, which is of course completely free of charge. For kibble, we recommend pre-portioning your pets food in plastic bags, or for longer stays, bringing your own storage container and scoop with instructions on how many scoops to feed per meal.
For canned food, you can write directly on the can or include a written note in your pets bag of other belongings. We have our own lids for cans of open dog food, but you are also welcome to bring your own.
We have our own bowls, including slow-feeder bowls, which we can use for your pets food. You are welcome to bring your own bowls from home if you want, but there is no obligation as we have plenty on hand. Our bowls are all stainless steel, except for cat bowls which may also be made out of glass or ceramic.
If your pet needs a slow feeder bowl or other slow feeder option please let us know when you are checking in. Slow feeder bowls and toys are provided completely free of charge.
