Peak Season & Holidays in Pet Boarding

The busiest season for pet boarding usually coincides with popular travel dates, federal holidays, and in Las Vegas, a number of large local events and shows.

For peak dates such as those listed below, we recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance. For the Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve holiday period starting late November and ending the first week of January calling ahead for availability as soon as possible is highly recommended.

Takes place early January every year

Super Bowl Weekend (Feb)
Sunday game day. (Fri-Mon is popular here at Z Pet Hotels)

Mardi Gras (Feb)
Fri - Tue in February are very popular for us as people travel out of Vegas to the Gulf Coast

Valentine’s Day (Feb 14)
Expect Feb 13 - Feb 15 to be busy

Presidents’ Day (3rd Mon in Feb)
Fri - Mon as people travel out of town for the long weekend

Spring Break (March - early April, varies by school)
1-3 week stays become much more common as long trips become the norm

Easter (Mar/Apr, varies)
Fri - Mon are very popular at Z Pet Hotels for easter

Rockabilly Weekend / Viva Las Vegas Car Show (April)
Since this show takes place at the Orleans Casino, we are a popular choice for pet care as we are less than 3 minutes away from the event

Fri - Mon (May) always a busy weekend as pet parents go out to party

Mother’s Day (2nd Sun in May)

Veterans Day (Nov 11)
Fri - Mon is very popular

Thanksgiving & Black Friday/Cyber Monday (4th Thurs in Nov)
Wed - Mon. We are consistently booked to capacity for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend every year. Please call ahead.

National Finals Rodeo (NFR) & Cowboy Christmas (Early December)
Very busy 10 day event that brings lots of pets to us

Christmas (Dec 25)
Dec 20-27. We are consistently booked to capacity for the Christmas holiday every year. Please call ahead.

Winter Break (mid-Dec - early Jan)
Peak window: 2-3 weeks

New Year’s Eve (Dec 31)
The busiest time in pet care. Dec 30-Jan 2. We are consistently booked to capacity for New Years/New Years Eve every year. Please call ahead.
