4th of July 2026 Overnight Pet Care

Are you planning to travel or host this 4th of July? We will be open for the 4th of July with normal 8AM-4PM pick-up/drop-off times.

4th of July is a busy holiday in the pet care industry as many families plan to travel and host events and want to make pet sitting arrangements for their pets so they can travel or host without worrying about their pet. At Z Pet Hotels, we are usually booked every year for the 4th and this year the 4th of July falls on a Saturday, so we expect to be busy from the 3-6. We recommend planning ahead if you'd like your pet to stay with us in your preferred room.

Book ahead of time

Our hotel has a total of 28 rooms total, so for the best chance at getting the room you want for your pet, we recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance. Keep in mind, we only have 4 rooms available for cats, including the Kitty Suite and Las Vegas Villa, so if you are interested in your cat staying with us for the 4th of July holiday, you may want to reserve up to a month in advance.

Preparing your pet

We recommend bringing familiar items from home like a bed, blanket, shirts or toys that smells like home. Dogs perceive the world through smell, and in cats using familiar, safe scents can help them be much calmer in a new enviornment. If your pet has never boarded before, a short 2-3 night trial stay (or daycare for dogs) can help your pet more easily adjust to being in a new location.

The 4th of July Schedule

Unlike New Years Eve when most of the Las Vegas Strip participates in fireworks displays, on the 4th of July only a few strip casinos do fireworks (including Caesar's Palace and Resorts World) and these displays last for about 15 minutes. Since our facility is all-indoors, pets are completely secured with limited outside noise and visual stimulation. We close and lock doors, lower lighting, and run 24/7 background sounds such as calming music, running air circulation & purification systems to soften sudden bursts, and playing TV's with calming ambient noise. Staff members remain on-site throughout the evening and overnight, conducting regular checks on every pet and immediately respond to signs of stress with extra cuddles, treats, play sessions, or in some cases, medication.

Care during the Fourth of July goes beyond just noise management. Each pet follows their normal feeding schedule, receives individualized attention, and has access to clean, comfortable bedding in a temperature-controlled space for the duration of their stay. For pets with known anxiety, we follow any approved calming protocols provided by owners or veterinarians, and we take extra time to provide reassurance and monitoring. Our team is trained to recognize subtle behavioral changes, so we can intervene early rather than waiting for distress to escalate. Boarding during this holiday can actually be one of the safest options when managed correctly, and our goal is simple. Keep every animal secure, comfortable, and cared for with the same level of attention we would expect for our own.
